Founded by Kathryn Brickell, a diversely qualified musician, our program follows a student-centric form of teaching. Across our expertise areas of band, orchestra and voice, we strive to support students of all ages and skill levels in attaining their goals, whether it be to learn the basics of an instrument or to prepare for an audition or performance. With a growing clientele, we are pleased to bring world-class instruction in a variety of styles to the boroughs of NYC. Our Philosophy

Step 1: Learn More in an Initial Consultation

If you’re interested in setting up classes for yourself or your child, one of our informed client managers will be available to have a consultation with you. During this meeting, you will have the chance to pose questions, talk about scheduling and pricing and identify the student’s specific needs, interests and aspirations.

Step 2: Be Paired with a Teacher

If you wish to move ahead, we will pair you or your child with an instructor we deem to be a good fit based on the information provided during the initial conference. We will compare calendars to schedule an introductory class, either at your home or online, depending on which you opt for.

Step 3: Perfect Your Plan

Following the first lesson, we’ll reach out to get your feedback. If you conclude that another instructor may be a better match, we can connect you with another option until you find an instructor who’s well suited in every aspect. We can also usually accommodate requests to change the length, timing or genre played during sessions, when desired.

Step 4: Enjoy Ongoing Learning

Our private teaching model is proven to optimize the value each student receives and to boost learning outcomes with regular practice. Ultimately, our aim is to help our students build their knowledge, improve their technique and achieve their personal goals, whether they are starting at an introductory or conservatory level (or some place in the middle.
